I was looking at Windows 10 in S mode. It's the locked down version before Home/Pro versions of Windows 10.


But I need some answers to the following;

• How good is S mode?
• Can you get infected through common methods?
• Are you restricted to WDA for AV protection?
• Does S mode provide data storage encryption?
• Can you use the new Chromium-Edge on S mode?
• For a new Windows user, is it a good choice?

From what I read I would say it's equal to Chromebook which is builded for security too.

I don't think it is a good choice...too restrictive and limited.
You can do S mode with a normal version of windows

Sorry I can't. I never try them.

But I guess that the windows version provide better usability as windows user and of course better compatibility for windows apps.
