I tried installing the comodo but it keeps installing all the extra stuff including an antivirus which I don't want or need.
Thanks

Beta@cartaphilus, Are you using the new beta version 2024 or the stable version?
Don't install the beta on your production system. After running the installer, you'll see the first window with an "option" button. Click it to see the modules, and untick the ones you don't want to install.Beta
It worked well on my production system, Windows 11. However, it is not officially compatible with it.Does the old version work well with windows 11?
It works flawlessly (at least for me).I'm using it on a windows 11 laptop fully updated paired with NOD 32 AV. Never ever had any problems.(before purchasing the ESET's license i've had CFW along with kaspersky Free still having no problems of any kind).Does the old version work well with windows 11?
I don't recommend using Comodo stable or beta on your production system, Windows 11 or 10. Comodo stable doesn't support Windows 11. They have not updated it since January 2021, so its compatibility with Windows 10 22H2 is uncertain. If you still want to use Comodo on these operating systems, do it at your own risk.As @rhythm mentioned, forget the beta version for now and use the old version.
The major issue without unsupported security software are the unknown bugs and potential vulnerabilities that could make your system a target to modern malware (unknown to the user). That's not to say PrivateFirewall wasn't great during it's prime days. But as with the latest version of Immunet, how long before the latest fixes are no longer considered safe? It's the same with PrivateFirewall which was last updated circa 2013.PS.I tried few months ago PFW (Privatefirewall) that is more outdated than Comodo and guess what, works perfectly on windows 11.Tested it for a week or so.(sorry for OT).
