Since iPadOS doesn't offer much options to change and it provides decent protection right out of the box. I rarely change anything. I mostly use this device for studying and productivity works.

Seem like a pretty secure setup. By the way, I use BlahDNS to get rid of ads and trackers. Quite happy using it.I also use Windscribe VPN on my Ipad. But use NextDNS on my Ipad and Iphone with OISD filter. It's enough to get rid of most ads in all my apps. It's my main security and privacy app on my Apple devices because it's ON most of the time. I also use Wipr and Hush but, since using NextDNS, I'm not sure if I need them anymore.
