Only when something you use is using WebRTC like video calling, live-streaming, etc. that sort of things, not in case of regular browsing.
Besides, the IP leakage part is for people who always use VPNs. Even when you use VPN, your actual IP could leak when using something that relies on WebRTC. Since you neither use video calling/live-streaming regularly nor using a VPN 24/7, you have no reason to disable WebRTC or worry about IP leaks in general. Your IP is known to every site you visit anyway.

Extension-based approach seems easier for AV vendors, less bugs but I also prefer using as few extensions as possible so........

In my opinion, and I'm not a programmer, the BD way is better. It's not easier, of course. But the less things interfere with the browser, the better
Although I'm not a fan of things in BD like Optimizer, Password Manager or VPN. It's unnecessary. There are better solutions for that with their dedicated software.

Finally, a question. If for some reason BD doesn't have a certificate on a site, does that cause any danger? Is it just about Search Advisor?

I don't think Privacy Badger is needed with uBlock Origin + Adblocking DNS.

It shouldn't. I used KeepasXC for a while and only a few months ago switched to Proton Pass for ease of use. KeepassXC is fantastic.

Although I'm not a fan of things in BD like Optimizer, Password Manager or VPN. It's unnecessary. There are better solutions for that with their dedicated software.

Usually no, as blacklisted sites will still be blocked. The benefit is faster browsing speed. The downside is embedded & third-party malicious/adware related scripts on sites won't be blocked. But usually you would come across those things very rarely. For critical tasks like banking, online shopping, use BD's SafePay.

I also turn it off. I don't use VPN in BD and I even turned it off in services so that it doesn't start when the system starts. AntiTracker is off. AntiSpam is off because I don't use the mail client. Etc. The only thing is that in my opinion it's a pointless AV component and only makes this software bigger and heavier software

Banking protection is what I always use when logging into my bank, regardless of what AV has a solution. Although I think the best one I had was in F-Secure

As for Proton Pass, it's enough that I have an email and VPN with them. I'm not a fan of diversifying everything with one software provider. And secondly - I'm not convinced about saving passwords in the cloud

No, it shouldn't be used with µBO, but rather as a replacement for it (for tracking protection only).

After about a week of Bitdefender on the computer, RAM usage dropped by about 100MB. (I pasted a photo of the processes above).
However, scanning is much slower compared to Eset. On BD, a quick scan takes slightly less than a full intelligent scan on Eset. A full system scan of BD takes over 50 minutes and Eset exactly took about 23 minutes. A big difference.
Eset is one of those light on the AV system, but BD is also not noticeable during everyday work.
For now, apart from the fact that Search Advisor does not work for me (I don't know why), BD is error-free and without conflict with other programs. (It only takes a long time to connect Proton VPN Free to the first server). BD works in the background, does its thing and by itself. Eset was more "annoying"

This is the last entry from my side about the operation of BD.

Search Advisor works fine for me in Chrome or Edge but I need Traffic Light for it to work in Brave. Also, Eset does not have anti-ransomware nles you get their $300 version. Bitdefender has decent ransomware remediation.

On one of my machines, search Advisor only works with Edge or Chrome and only in Google or Bing. Not DuckDuckgo or other search engines. TrafficLight or McAfee WebAdvisor had no issues.
Bitdefender seems to be better than a year ago. I only have an issue with the startup of Firefox based browsers.

It look likes they invested more time in behaviour based detection. The last 2 month I tested it agains 250 malwares (a mix of exe, msi, lnk, Powershell, bat, Excel, Word, dll's). 67% was detected by the signatures, 19.50% by the ATD. Last year the result 85% detected by signatures and only 3% by ATD.

Bitdefender has always been heavy on our 2 PC's but we installed it on the laptop and it is very fast now.

Bitdefender is one of the best antivirus software on the market. Why on earth do these very skillful people allow the updating process to be so slow? Why does installing simple updates have to be so slow? No other product functions this slow while updating? It's literally been years no improvements.
