Updating drivers (vendor laptops)

KIS 2020 deleted and blocked SDI and rolled back after infection as KIS detected a suspicious behaviour! Why is that?

I ended up blocking driver updates via Group Policy and using a vendor maintenance tool for installing drivers, seems simple as long as I don't forget to run the tool every now and then

If you update from the vendors site, those offered by MS shouldn't be proposed in WU, unless the vendors sent first to MS the new build (which happened to me once).

happened to me too, so while a far cry from being a good practice, it's happening.
